These are my current daily vitamins.
I plan to migrate to a more comprehensive ‘all in one’ vitamin supplement pretty soon, but these are my favorites up to now.
B-50 : Ahh, my trusty B-Complex vitamins. The first thing I should mention about B-Complex vitamins is that they make your urine go the most mental shade of yellow you’ve ever seen in your life. Aside from that, it’s actually pretty good for you. It contains all the vitamins you really need with the exception of Vitamin C.
C-500 : Vitamin C. REALLY important to enable your body to build collagen, which is what makes up your bone, skin, and most of the rest of your body tissue. I’m sorry to have to be the one to tell you this…. but it also does nothing at all to prevent colds or flu. Your mom lied to you. Diddums.
Vitamin D : Not ACTUALLY a vitamin, but who’s really bothered? All you need to know at this point is that they give this to old women in care homes because it’s statistically proven to stop them dying as quickly. If that isn’t a shining endorsement for a product, I’m not sure what is.
I should be clear – I completely believe that it’s beneficial to take vitamins every day. I seem to hear, often from credible sources, that you should be able to get enough vitamins from your food to cover every possible vitamin. I call bullshit. I’ve been over the numbers, and I can’t figure out a way to get all of the above vitamins (the simplest, most inexpensive vitamin ‘stack’ ever) into a diet that somebody could follow daily. Not to mention that vitamins ARE food – just with the useful parts extracted and put into capsule or tablet form. I’m going to be re-writing this once I’ve managed to track down suitable authority on the subject, and will post my findings in this section.
Oh yes, and before I forget – look, I even went out and bought a little tablet box so I know when I’ve taken what. Genius.
